Croom Trails, Withlacoochee State Forest is a 55 mile loop trail located near Brooksville, Florida. The trail is rated as moderate and primarily used for mountain biking & off road driving.

Silver Lake Recreation Area Complex

The Silver Lake Recreation Complex is at the County Road 476 river bridge and the community park located on the north side of County Road 476 at the northern terminus of Edgewater Avenue. Campsites are spread out under the open shade of large oak trees. Located on the northern end of Silver Lake on a gently sloping grassy area, most sites have a view of the water. Boat ramp located at campground. The Silver Lake Campground is open seven days a week.

Rails to Trails

The gem among the jewels of bike trails in Hernando County is the Withlacoochee State Trail, 46 miles of paved, mostly flat terrain that is part of the Florida Rails-to-Trails network. It stretches from Pasco County to northern Citrus County; traversing some of the most beautiful areas of Hernando County, marked by small towns and recreational stops along the way.

Brooksville City Nights

A community event every Saturday night in downtown Brooksville, starting in November, from 4 to 9pm. Under the shady oak trees along Main Street in downtown Brooksville, merchants and residents gather Saturday evenings to Brooksville City Nights, a weekly farmers market and social galla. The vision: to reintroduce the county residents to the beauty and small businesses in their backyard. Come by and enjoy this wonderful event!

Brooksville Raid

The Hernando Historical Museum Assoc., Inc. and North Pinellas County Scout Sertoma Club, Inc. present the Annual Brooksville Raid Reenactment. This reenactment is a re-creation of a Civil War battle that happened in Hernando County in July of l864. The Raid is held the 3rd weekend in January every year. We have become the largest Civil War reenactment in Florida with over 1500 reenactors and their families. We have 28 cannons, 60 horses, and over 50 sutlers.

Pine Island Park

A 3-acre park on the Gulf of Mexico located at 10800 Pine Island Drive (off County Road 495 west of Weeki Wachee). Includes beach and swimming area, picnic tables, shelters, barbecue grills, observation point, volleyball court, playground and concession stand.

The Hernando Airport Farmers and Flea Market
