Hernando County Information Services

Purpose:  The Hernando County Information Services (HCIS) is a means by which cooperation among participants is enhanced; by which information is accumulated and disseminated to enable authorized participants to prepare appraisals, analyses, and other valuations of real property for bona fide clients and customers; by which participants engaging in real estate appraisal contribute to common databases; and is a facility for the orderly correlation and dissemination of listing information so participants may better serve their clients and the public.

Coming Soon:  We are excited to announce that we have partnered with four other Florida Multiple Listing Services (MLSs), St Augustine/St Johns County MLS, realMLS, Daytona Beach MLS, and Space Coast MLS, to build a true MLS data share called Coast2Coast MLS Datashare. Putting the needs of our members and consumers first, MLS members of these organizations will have access to these four additional MLSs from within our native MLS system. As we work together, it is our goal to make the MLS data share available to our members very soon.

All organizations are actively participating in the data alignment process, using the Real Estate Standards Organization’s RESO Data Dictionary as our guide. As we work toward the RESO Standard to create efficiencies for our members and technology partners, MLS field names, choices within certain fields, and their locations within the MLS will need to be updated to support this data share effort. Aligning our data with the RESO Data Dictionary will allow a wide range of systems to talk to our MLS databases more seamlessly.

To be clear, this is NOT a merger of the organizations. This is a joint effort to align data fields with the RESO Data Dictionary resulting in members having the ability to search across all four MLSs directly from their native MLS System.

We believe:

  • MLSs should share data in ways that elevate the amount of good the data can achieve.
  • A wider, more accessible MLS database is good for everyone.
  • Easy access to MLS data is good for Brokers and the consumers they serve.
  • Transparency is what helps the free market in a cooperative way.

Thank you for your patience as we work diligently aligning the hundreds of fields and thousands of field choices across the various property types. We are confident this collaboration will create a healthier real estate marketplace by offering our members increased MLS data access to better serve consumers as local market experts.  View more Coast2Coast MLS Datashare information here.

Remember, the MLS is YOUR source of the most accurate and timely data.
